HAHN, William (1829-1887), a native of Germany, certainly one of the best painters associated with the West, specifically California. First studied in Dresden, later in Düsseldorf and Paris. Circa 1860 he arrived in New York City, worked there for a while and then went West, Besides city views and landscapes, he did also portraits and still lifes. |
