DECKER, Joseph (1853-1924), born in Württemberg, came to the United States in 1867, lived mostly in Brooklyn, N. Y. In 1880 studied in Munich, thereafter produced remarkable still lifes and figure paintings and exhibited in prestigious places in the New York area, but died almost forgotten. |
